Selcom Launches 10 New Experience Centers in Dar es Salaam to Enhance Customer Access and Support.
On May 15, 2025, Dar es Salaam, Selcom Tanzania, a leading financial services company, has officially launched ten new Selcom Experience Centers across Dar es Salaam. These centers are designed to improve access to Selcom services, including easier float acquisition for agents and seamless top-ups for Selcom Pesa customers fast, secure, and with no extra charges.
Through these centers, Selcom agents can now access float more conveniently, allowing them to serve their customers more efficiently. Selcom Pesa customers can visit any of the centers to instantly top up their accounts, obtain a Selcom Mastercard, or receive direct support in using the wide range of services available on the Selcom Pesa platform.
Opening a Selcom Pesa account does not require visiting a center. Customers can easily download the Selcom Pesa app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and register using their NIDA number directly from their mobile phone. However, these centers play a crucial role in offering personalized customer support, educating users about the platform, and onboarding new agents into the Selcom network.
At each center, new agents can register, acquire POS machines and rollers, and receive important information about Selcom’s offerings—including duka.direct services. The centers have been equipped with well-trained customer care teams and modern infrastructure to ensure high-quality service delivery at all times.
The ten new Selcom Experience Centers are located in:
• Gongo la Mboto (Banana)
• Manzese
• Mbagala (Zakhem)
• Tabata Kinyerezi
• Mbezi Mwisho (Luis)
• Mbezi Tanki Bovu
• Mwenge
• Masaki
• Kariakoo (Uhuru & Nyamwezi Street)
• Jamhuri Posta
The centers operate Monday to Saturday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
With the Selcom Pesa app, users can send and receive money, pay various institutions, and conduct transactions at fees up to 60% lower than other providers. The app is available for both Android and iOS, and users can also access services using the USSD code *150*35# on feature phones.
This launch marks the first phase of Selcom’s broader strategy to expand service centers across other parts of Dar es Salaam and throughout the country within the year. Through this initiative, Selcom aims to drive financial inclusion and ensure that every Tanzanian has access to safe, affordable, and easily accessible financial services.
